The Hebron Project today presented the Town of Clarenville with an emergency response hovercraft. The donation of the hovercraft is expected to improve the fire department's ability to effectively respond to emergencies in Clarenville and surrounding areas.
A hovercraft donated by the Hebron Project to the Town of Marystown's Volunteer Fire Department is expected to significantly improve the department's rescue capability. The hovercraft can be used for rescue operations in icy, shallow or running water locations that are typically difficult to reach in emergency situations.
Geoff Parker, Hebron Senior Project Manager, Vice-President ExxonMobil Canada Properties at the Association for New Canadians announced the Hebron Project Energy Sector Language Training Fund. This fund is intended to support a language training module for current and prospective employees in the energy industry.
A $2 million investment by the Hebron Project co-venturers will result in the development of two world-class oil and gas training facilities at College of the North Atlantic's (CNA) Seal Cove and Ridge Road campuses. A formal announcement was made at CNA's Seal Cove campus on Friday, June 3.
